GM Harmonische Balancer GM 3.8L, 231
Een harmonische balancer is een onderdeel van de aandrijflijn dat verbonden is met de krukas van een motor. De gebruikelijke constructie bestaat uit een binnennaaf en een buitenring die met rubber zijn verbonden.
Het doel is om trillingen in de motor te verminderen en het dient als poelie voor aandrijfriemen.
Harmonische balancer wordt ook wel onder andere harmonische demper, trillingspulley, krukaspoelie, krukasdemper en krukasbalancer genoemd.
