GM Harmonic Balancer GM 3,8L, 231
Der Harmonic Balancer ist eine vordere Nebenantriebskomponente, die mit der Kurbelwelle eines Motors verbunden ist.Die übliche Konstruktion besteht aus einer Innennabe und einer Außenringbindung aus Gummi.
Der Zweck besteht darin, Motorvibrationen zu reduzieren und dient als Riemenscheibe für Antriebsriemen.
Der harmonische Ausgleicher wird unter anderem auch als harmonischer Dämpfer, Vibrationsriemenscheibe, Kurbelwellenriemenscheibe, Kurbelwellendämpfer und Kurbelwellenausgleicher bezeichnet.
